Yoo In-na Reveals Her Photos Were Used in Romance Scam “A Woman Borrowed Money Using My Pictures”
On Dec 10, the YouTube channel “Yoo In Radio” released a video titled “Haven’t We Met Somewhere Before?“.
In the video, actor Park Jung-min appeared as a guest and participated in an interview with MC Yoo In-na. During the conversation, Yoo In-na shared an incident from her early 20s when she was involved in a romance scam.
She recalled, “When I was in my early 20s, I worked part-time at a café. One day, a man came looking for me and called me ‘Hye-young’. I explained to him that it wasn’t my name.”
She continued, “The man then took out his phone and showed me a picture, saying it was Hye-young. All the pictures were of me.” Yoo In-na explained that an unknown woman had used her Cyworld photos to deceive the man.
Yoo In-na added, “It didn’t stop at just stealing my pictures. The woman even borrowed money from the man. Although I don’t remember the exact details since it happened so long ago, the amount was around 1~2 million KRW.”
The man, angry upon discovering the scam, contacted the perpetrator and threatened to report her to the authorities. Fortunately, the woman panicked and returned the money. Reflecting on the incident, Yoo In-na said, “Isn’t it fascinating? Of course, it was a bad thing, but for me, it remains an interesting life story.”
